Windows Measuring Tips

For your drapery, we strongly suggest using a professional for measuring and installation.  However, if you decide to do it yourself, here is some useful tips when measuring your windows:

  • Always use a steel tape measure
  • Measure every window in the room, even if they appear to be the same size.
  • Inside mount and outside mount measurements should always be taken so you can be sure all bases are covered.
  • Convert measurement into inches to make calculation easier.
  • Always draw a template for arch windows or other configurations to make sure you provide the workroom with precise information.
  • Communicate all information regarding your hardware and treatment to your installer so he can be prepared.
