HOW TO CARE FOR FABRICS
The following is a list of basic rules on how to care for fabrics:
Protect fabric from the sun
Direct sun is terrible for your fabric. When using a fragile
fabric such as silk taffeta, be sure to line and interline your fabric
to prevent it from tearing and fading. If you can avoid placing
upholstered furniture where the sun shines, do so. If not, draw
the shades whenever possible.
Use a good dry cleaner
Use a good dry cleaner whenever possible. Make sure they don't
use harsh chemical. By vacuuming frequently, you won't have to dry
clean as often. Do dry clean before excessive soil accumulates.
Treat spills promptly
Treat spills immediately by gently plot away with the spill with a
clean, dry absorbent cloth. DO NOT rub. For dried
contaminants, try using a soft brush or a dull knife prior to using a
wet treatment. Always follow manufacturer care instructions
