Founded in the 1900, F. Schumacher
(Federick Schumacher) is one of the oldest fabric distributors in the
country. The company has expanded from fabric to furniture,
lighting and rugs. However, fabric is still the mainstay of the
company's business.
F. Schumacher consists of several
divisions. F. Schumacher is the flagship collection of the line.
It consists of upper-end fabrics. The lower end consists of Waverly
and Village, which is widely distributed throughout the US via wallpaper and
paint stores. It is more casual and inexpensive. Our favorite
line is Decorator's Walk, which consists of more stylish and higher end
fabrics--Kelly Wearstler collection is featured here. Kelly Wearstler
is the very well-known designer of the Hollywood Regency style. Her
style is bold and colorful. An example of her work can be seen
at her book,
Modern Glamour.
